wait until you get ur SSN before you file.
you would have to file 2009 as F1 (so 1040NR) NR meaning non resident.
2010 onwards you file as a resident (for tax purposes) so that means you file regular 1040.
Have you ever filed a tax return before? If so do you havean ITIN (in lieu of SSN)?

having valid AP at any time, even though is not a legal requirement, is a necessity due to potential emergency travel to home country or any other country. Hence it is safe to reapply AP 2-3 months before expiry and EAD 3-4 months before expiry. This will give you peace of mind.

I need some advice in connection with a letter I received from USCIS for an in-person interview. It says that this interview will be video taped. It mentions a list of items to bring to the interview if they are checked, but none of the items in this letter are checked.
The items are:
- This letter, passport, I-94
- Medical exam results, Form I-693
- A current letter of employment
- Evidence of a common residence and shared life
- Other
My priority date is not current. And, my I-140 is approved and it has been more than 6 months since I-485 filing. I changed jobs about 4 months ago and did not transfer my H1B and started working using EAD. My H1B was revoked by my last employer. Also, I did not send a AC21 letter after switching jobs.
Is not sending the AC21 letter the reason for this interview? Also, since none of the items in the letter is checked, what does this mean? Please advise.

Is she studying for nursing boards or in nursing school?
If you have foreign degree then there are several steps, I think it involves CGFNS, visa screen, nclex, etc. CGFNS will take care of setting equivalency and authenticity of degree. I don't think there is need of wes evaluation, I could be wrong. Go to Carl Shustermann website and it explains in detail. Just google it.

Hi,
I am a B. Com, M. Com (1 yr) and CA from India, CPA (USA) with more than 12 yrs exp in accounting industry, including 7 yrs of post qualification (after CA) exp. - But even after all these qualifications, I was suggested by a leading law firm that I will not qualify under EB2 :mad: :mad: !!!!
If the position required a bachelors degree then you have problem !!!! What he (lawyers asst) said that you either need 4 yrs single degree or 3+3 yrs degree to qualify for EB2. He specifically said that 3+2 yrs degrees or 3+1 yrs (as in my case) does not qualify for EB2.
I have not yet filed GC yet though.

Like I said....I messed this one up and really had no intention of over-exposing it.

These are so screwed up...
Looks like they are heavily back logged.. (mabye cause the conslate did not accept PIO and OCI applications for almost a month)
I sent in my daughter's OCI for miscelaneous service - move OCI sticker to new passport...
sent it in March and its still not yet reached the consulate..
when I applied the rules said they need a copy of old passport, they later changed the rules and are now saying you need to send orignal passport.
I sent the orignal passport also to them and since then no update -:(
Just impossible to reach them also...am on the phone since the last 2 hours -:( and still waiting...
they do not reply to emails either.
any one else here having trouble with them ?

I think it should be fine as long as the visa page is not tampered or damaged, and the electronic information can be read. Also since she has a new pp, it should not be a problem. She should carry both the old and new pp with her.

Any suggestion whether to switch attorney after using AC21 and moving to new company?
If you have good relationship/communication with your previous attorney, it is not recomended to change, as it is a additional work for uscis, that they may not like it. The new G-28 may not properly attached, uscis may not update the information ect may cuase you unrest. As long as possible, avoid contact with uscis, unless they asked to do as they are heavily backlogged with all application.
